| Thousands | Hundreds | Tens | Ones |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
| + 2 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
| 6 | 2 | 4 | 5 |
Answer: 6,245
Don’t forget to carry over when the sum is 10 or more! 6 + 9 = 15, so write 5 and carry 1 to the Tens column.
