VAT (Value Added Tax) is a tax added to the price of goods and services. In Trinidad & Tobago, VAT is typically 12.5%.
Question: A laptop costs $5,000. VAT is 12.5%. What is the total cost?
Answer: $5,625 total cost
Question: A shirt costs $200. It is on sale for 25% off. What is the sale price?
Answer: $150 sale price
Question: A TV costs $8,000. It is on sale for 20% off. How much do you save?
Answer: $1,600 savings
